Fundraising With Solid Oak

Local carpenter Bill Millea contributes his latest handiwork to the Friends of the Peabody Institute Library to assist with their fundraising efforts.

The Friends of the Peabody Institute Library now has a brand new solid oak case to show off merchandise for fundraising efforts thanks to local carpenter Bill Millea.

The Friends commissioned the carpentry shop at the to handcraft a display case to sit in the main room downstairs at the .

Various items the group may sell to benefit library programs will now be placed in the wooden case.

Millea designed and built the case to conform to the styling of the furniture inside the historic room.

Mounted on wheels and measuring approximately two feet by three feet, the case has a secure storage space in addition to the display area.
