Peabody, MA – Granite Coast Brewing Company is pleased to announce it will be open for business at 77 Main Street in Peabody, MA effective Friday, May 24, 2019. A series of Grand Opening celebrations will take place on Friday, May 24th from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Saturday, May 25th from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, May 26th from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The taproom will also be open for service, and owners Jeff Marquis and Rob Dunn will be on hand to serve guests.
The facility does not serve food, but attendees are welcome to bring their own food and snacks. The Grand Opening celebration will host pop-up food vendors, and the brewery encourages grabbing a bite to eat or take-out at one of the neighboring businesses. Families are welcome to attend.
Granite Coast Brewing began in 2012 as a hobby for lifelong friends Marquis and Dunn. The opening of the brewery is the culmination of seven years of tasting, testing, and building the facility. Dunn noted, “We started this journey about seven years ago, working out of our houses. It’s a dream we had to open our own place and share our hobby. Our families had a lot of patience with us.” The brewery aims at offering a rotation of about twenty varieties of beer during its first year. Marquis explained “We’ve been working on our recipes while we were building our taproom and brewery. We can’t wait for guests to try us out. May 24th can’t come fast enough!”

The build-out has also been an example of applying the “keep it local” philosophy. Marquis added, “Whenever possible we wanted to hire local vendors, and we were able to do that. We think it’s important to support local businesses. Our neighbors here in Peabody have certainly supported us through this building and opening process.” He continued, “We’re looking forward to supporting the Peabody Main Streets program and special events too.”
