Higgins Band Members Headed to NE Jr. District Festival

Three Higgins Middle School Band members have been selected to perform at the 42nd Annual Mass. Music Educators' Assoc. Northeastern Junior District Festival.

Gabe Goldman, Drums; Neil Sherman, Trombone; and Joey Montalto, Clarinet, all seventh grade students at the Higgins, will perform in the concerts to be held on Saturday, March 15, at Lowell High School. Students will spend three days rehearsing before the culminating concert.

Goldman and Sherman have been selected to the first ever Junior District Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Mr. Aaron Bush, Director of Middle School Bands for the Needham Public Schools. Montalto will perform with the Concert Band, under the direction of Casey Goodwin, Director of Athletic Bands at the University of New Hampshire.
