Higgins School Project Neighborhood Meeting Scheduled

A Higgins neighborhood meeting to provide the community with an update will be held at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 8 in the Higgins Auditorium.

At 220,000 square feet, the new Higgins will be the largest middle school in Massachusetts and the largest construction project in the city’s history. The total project cost is nearly $93 million with the state reimbursing the city 56 percent of eligible construction costs. The school is scheduled to open to over 1,300 students in September 2016.
