How Well Do You Know Peabody?
Turn of the century building block now houses U.S. Rep. John Tierney's office, China Corner restaurant.
It didn't take very long for one of Peabody Patch's readers to identify the building in this week's history contest. The building pictured in the the black and white photo provided by the George Peabody Museum and the Peabody Leatherworkers Museum is located at the corner of Main and Foster streets. It includes the O'Shea building and houses several businesses including the Dollar Store, China Corner restaurant and Congressman John Tierney's office.
Congratulations to Beverly Griffin Dunne who was the first to guess the correct answer. You will receive a $5 Dunkin' Donuts gift card from Peabody Patch later this week.
Thank you to all of our readers for participating in this week's history contest. Please visit our site on Saturday when Peabody Patch will post another historic photo to test your knowledge about the city's vibrant past.
