Sign Up for Free Tax Assistance

AARP volunteers continue to provide free tax assistance on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at the West, Main and South branches of the library.

Appointments at the West Branch are available every Monday from 1-4 p.m. Call 978-535-3354.

Appointments at the Main Branch can be scheduled for 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Tuesdays. Call 978-531-0100 ext. 24 or 33 to register.

Appointments at the South Branch are available from 5-8:30 p.m. on Thursdays. Call 978-531-3380.

Women Build 101 Training

This program, which will be held in the Sutton Room of the Main Branch Library Wednesday from 6:30-8:30 p.m., is a training session for Habitat for Humanity of the North Shore's 'Women Build' event scheduled for Saturday, May 5.

Jessica Plante, of AmeriCorps and Women Build Outreach Coordinator for Habitat for Humanity International, will lead the training for local HFH affiliates to run a successful 'Women Build' event. Topics include event planning, fundraising, donations, sponsorships, outreach to volunteers, media and public relations.

The Women Build's mission is to "recruit, educate and nurture women to build and advocate for simple, decent, affordable homes" in the local community.

Class of 2012 Pasta Dinner Auction

The Class of 2012 at is seeking auction items and raffle and supply donations for the , which is scheduled for April 4. No item or donation too small (or too big).

All monies raised will be used to offset the costs of planned events, such as the prom. Contact senior class officers Shannon Walsh or Bianca Falconi or email the senior class advisor Ms. Fotopoulos at fotopoulosp@peabody.k12.ma.us with your donations or questions.

Tickets for the pasta will be available to purchase the week of March 26 and will be available to purchase at the Spring Athletics Meeting on Wednesday March 28. Everyone is welcome to attend the dinner.
