Learn the Basics of Heirloom Gardening at the South Branch

Valentine & Son Seed Co. will be at the South Branch to teach gardeners of all levels about heirloom gardening.

The South Branch of the Peabody Institute Library is pleased to welcome Valentine and Son Seed Co. on Thursday, July 28th at 7PM for a new gardening program. Heirloom gardening is a terrific way to preserve unusual or heritage species of flowers and vegetables, add variety to your garden and carry on the traditions of generations. Join us at the South Branch for an informative session on the basics of heirloom gardening by the experts at Valentine & Son Seed Company!

This program will cover planning your heirloom garden, seed starting, garden maintenance and harvesting your crops. If you’re new to gardening or are an experienced gardener looking to learn about new varietals for your garden, you’re sure to gain valuable information from this program. Questions are encouraged!

This program is free and open to the public and will take place at the South Branch of the Peabody Institute Library, located at 78 Lynn St. Basics of Heirloom Gardening is generously funded by the Friends of the Peabody Institute Libraries.
