Local Peabody Artist featured in South Branch Library's Rotating Art Show

Check out Michele Jerow's paintings at the South Branch of the Peabody Library this fall!

The South Branch of the Peabody Institute Library is continuing its support of local artists with a new showing of paintings by Peabody artist Michele Jerow. Eleven examples of her art are now on display in the library, located at 78 Lynn St. These paintings are all available for purchase, but will only be on display for a limited time through the fall.

The South Branch is thrilled to feature another Peabody artist. This collection includes vibrant depictions of landscapes, flowers and nature in acrylics. This show is an example of the Library’s commitment to supporting and partnering with the community.

Michele Jerow is an award-winning Peabody artist, most recently winning 1st place in acrylic painting at the 2016 Peabody International Festival. She is the mother of four children and grandmother of two wonderful boys. She comes from a long line of artists; her mother and sister have both showcased their work in numerous art galleries. Ms. Jerow has a passion for jewelry making, intricate bead work, acrylic painting and handmade Victorian lampshades. She has had the privilege of exhibiting her handmade Victorian lampshades in the 1990’s movie The Proposition. You can find her jewelry displayed in the Jeweler’s Building in Boston. She shares her crafts and skills with others through teaching.
