Mayor to Host Peabody "Senior Day" at Brooksby Farm

Join Mayor Bettencourt Sep. 14 for a free lunch, hayrides through Brooksby's apple orchard and live music.

PEABODY, MA – Mayor Bettencourt has announced the fourth annual Senior Day at Brooksby Farm, to be held Wed., Sep. 14.

Come out at 10 a.m. for a free lunch served by the mayor, as well as city department heads and staff, followed by live music, hayrides through Brooksby's famed apple orchard and information tables.

The Peabody Historical Society will be on hand to offer tours of the Felton Sr. House, Felton Jr. House, the Peabody Historical Fire Museum and other nearby properties.

"Senior Day at Brooksby Farm has become one of our most beloved community events," said Mayor Bettencourt in an announcement. "It is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy Brooksby Farm and to bring people together in the spirit of friendship and the great outdoors."

Those planning to attend are asked to RSVP by calling the Peabody Council on Aging at 978-531-2254. Free transportation and on-site parking are available.
