“Work continues to clear roads, sidewalks and bus stops in and around school zones as we gear up for students to return next week,” Mayor Bettencourt said. “We are also prioritizing snow bank reduction beginning with those blocking the busiest intersections. Sand crews will continue their work as the bitter cold leaves icy roadways in its wake. Please continue to exercise caution and allow extra time for travel.”

The mayor did not provide specifics on when the National Guard would be assisting public safety departments in Peabody.
