Mayor Schedules Additional Yard Waste Pickup
Extra collection is scheduled due to recent storms.

Due to the recent severe weather and a large number of resident requests, Mayor Ted Bettencourt has scheduled an additional curbside yard waste collection for the week of August 10 through August 14.
During the week of August 10, on their normal trash pickup day, residents may leave their yard waste curbside in paper bags or barrels. No yard waste in plastic bags will be accepted. All yard waste should be picked up no later than 3 p.m.
Residents should note that haulers may pick up regular trash first and return later in the day for yard waste. There is no charge for curbside yard waste collection.
In addition to yard waste in paper bags and barrels, trash haulers will pick up downed tree branches and brush. Residents are asked to limit branches to three feet or less in length and three inches in diameter when leaving them at curbside.
Residents should also note they can take yard waste to the Department of Public Services, 50 Farm Avenue any weekday during regular business hours. The Department of Public Services is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
