9:00am: Flagging of all Veterans' graves beginning at Cedar Grove

Saturday, May 25, 2019

Puritan Lawn and St. Mary's Cemeteries

9:00am: Flagging of all Veterans' graves beginning at Puritan Lawn

Sunday, May 26, 2019

St. Adelaide's Church, 712 Lowell Street

8:15am: Assemble in the parking lot

8:30am: Mass Begins After the Mass at St. Adelaide's, VFW Sponsored Events will be held at:

• The Kiley School
• Oak Grove Lexington Monument
• Civil War Monument

8:30am: Gold Stars Family buses leave City Hall for Cedar Grove Cemetery

8:30am: VFW & PAWV bus will leave for Cedar Grove Cemetery

9:30am: Memorial Ceremony begins

11:00am: Parade begins at the corner of Allens Lane and Washington Street

11:45 – 12:30: Ceremony in front of Peabody City Hall

The holiday also means government offices and some businesses will be closed. Before you head out, check our list of what's open and closed on the holiday

• Retail stores: Open at owner's discretion
• Subway, buses: Sunday schedule.
• Supermarkets: Open
• Convenience stores: Open
• Bars: Open
• Banks: Closed
• Basically anything to do with municipal government: Closed
• Libraries, see above: Closed
• Schools: Closed
• Mail: Express delivery only
• Trash/recycling collection: Delayed one day. Monday pickup on Tuesday, Tuesday pickup on Wednesday, etc., ending with Friday pickup on Saturday.
