Metropolis Scholarship Opportunity For Peabody Students

The scholarship is open to a senior who plans to pursue a career in history, museum studies, historic preservation or political science.

PEABODY, MA — A $2,000 scholarship is available to Peabody seniors planning on pursuing a career in history, museum studies, historic preservation or political science.

The Peabody Historical Society will award the Andrew Metropolis scholarship to one Peabody Veterans Memorial High School graduating senior.

This scholarship honors the former teacher who had a unique style of teaching history that inspired many of his students to pursue careers in history-related fields.

The scholarship was not awarded last year but has been reinstated for 2022.
