Multiple Route 128 Peabody Tractor-Trailer Crashes Thursday
Traffic was snarled in both directions during the Thursday commute with northbound lanes still closed about 10 a.m.
PEABODY, MA — Two separate tractor-trailer crashes closed lanes and slowed traffic in both directions of Route 128 in Peabody late in the Thursday morning commute.
The Massachusetts State Police said troopers from the Danvers barracks and the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division were working on crashes in both the northbound and southbound direction near the Route 1 exit in Peabody about 9:30 a.m.
No injuries were reported, but lanes were taken in both directions.

As of 10 a.m., State police said southbound lanes were open and cleared, but northbound right lanes remained blocked.
