Postal carrier seeks refuge inside a home after aggressive, wild turkeys peck at him.

Peabody, MA - Mail carriers being threatened by dogs is so last century.

These days, our brave postal carriers are more likely to be threatened by packs of wild turkeys than they are by Fido or Spot.

Shortly after noon on Tuesday, a postal worker was delivering mail on Bartholomew Street when he had to have one of the residents let him in their house because some turkeys were fast on his heels.

The aggressive, wild turkeys were chasing and pecking at the mail carrier, according to the police report.

The postal worker was eventually able to safely return to his truck with the help of the city’s Animal Control Officer.
