North Shore Labor Endorses Peabody City Council, School Committee

The North Shore Labor Council is backing Turco, Melville, Charest and Dunne in Peabody races.

PEABODY, MA — The North Shore Labor Council has endorsed candidates in the Peabody City Council and School Committee races for the upcoming general election.

The Labor Council said it is supporting Jon Turco and Ryan Melville for Councilor At-Large, Ed Charest for Ward 4, and Beverly Griffin Dunne for School Committee.

"Across the North Shore, workers are facing rising housing costs, stagnant wages and loss of benefits," NSLC Executive Director Katie Cohen said. "With unprecedented federal and state investment coming to our communities, we need advocates who will proudly fight for our working families.

"That is why the North Shore Labor Council is proud to stand by these candidates on the campaign trail and beyond."
