Obituary: Beatrice Wheeler (Brown) O'Kane, Longtime Resident of Peabody

Employed as a retail clerk at the Sears store in Peabody for over 15 years before retiring.

Beatrice Wheeler (Brown) O’Kane, 92, of Peabody, died at her home with her family by her side following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late John “Skip” O’Kane and the companion of Irving Zuckerman of Peabody.

Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late William and Susan (Wheeler) Brown. She has lived in Peabody for over 30 years.

Beatrice was employed as a retail clerk at the Sears store in Peabody for over 15 years before retiring in 1981. In her younger years, Beatrice was a Girl Scout Leader.

Besides her long time companion, she is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 7:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 20 Church St., DOWNTOWN PEABODY to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 4:00 until 7:00 PM. Following cremation, burial services will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
