Carol Y. (Hidler) Nolan, 63, beloved wife of the late John Nolan, Jr., died unexpectedly on Tuesday March 24, 2015 at the North Shore Medical Center---Salem Hospital, following a brief illness.
Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late William and Corine (Simard) Hidler. She grew up in Peabody and was a lifelong resident of the city.

Mrs. Nolan had worked at Parker Brothers, Christine’s Dry Cleansers, and a candy factory all in Salem.
Carol enjoyed drawing, was a coin collector, and enjoyed social gatherings with family and friends---especially spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by a son John H. Nolan, III, of Lynn; a daughter Corine Nolan of Peabody; two grandchildren, Cody and Connor Nolan both of Peabody; a brother Doug Hidler of Peabody; a sister Darlene Schroeder of Salem; a dear and close friend Joyce Bretschneider of Haverhill, and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Tuesday at 9 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist Church, Peabody. A visitation will be held on Monday from 5 – 8 P.M. in the funeral home. Cremation will happen after the funeral.
