Obituary: Cassandra A. (Bedard) Leslie, 32; Compassionate Person, Devoted to Her Family

Attended Peabody High School.

Cassandra A. (Bedard) Leslie, 32 of Peabody and formerly of Salem, died unexpectedly, Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at NSMC/Salem Hospital. She was the wife of Michael C. Leslie.

Born in Danvers and raised in Peabody, she was the daughter of Sheila (Walsh) Bedard of Haverhill and Charles Bedard of Salem. Casey attended Peabody High and worked as a waitress for several restaurants including; Joe’s American Bar & Grill, Legal Sea Foods and Outback Steakhouse. A lover of animals, she also did pet grooming as a side line.

Casey was a loving compassionate person who was devoted to her family. She loved all animals, but had a special place in her heart for dogs. She will be greatly missed by many.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by a brother Seith M. Bedard and wife Rachel and their two daughters, Ryann and Hannah, Her two grandfathers, Alfred Bedard of Salem and Laurier LeClerc of Peabody. She was predeceased by her grandmothers, Cynthia Bedard and Rita Walsh LeClerc.

Her funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the MSPCA, 350 South Huntington Ave, Boston, MA 02130 or Northeast Animal Shelter, 347 Highland Ave., Salem, MA 01970.
