Obituary: Dianne Lynn (DeCarlo) Whitcomb, 54, Worked For Her Family's Company, Barbie Dee Cleaners

Dianne Lynn (DeCarlo) Whitcomb, 54, of Peabody, died unexpectedly November 13th, 2014.

Born in Beverly, she was the beloved daughter of the late Ann M. (Cazzara) and Frank DeCarlo. She was raised in Peabody and educated in Salem and Peabody, attending St. James School in Salem and then graduating from Peabody High School in 1978.

For over twenty years, Dianne found joy working for her family company, Barbie Dee Cleaners of Peabody. More recently she had been employed in food services.

Dianne enjoyed spending time with her family, taking trips with her mother and creating lasting memories throughout her travels. She had a deep love for the beach and ocean. She also enjoyed bowling and cooking. She had a caring heart and helped many in need. She will be deeply missed.

Dianne is survived by her husband, William Whitcomb of Peabody; her three daughters and their families, Angela Jacques and her husband Bryan of Beverly, Vanessa Lightbown and her fiancé Jon Pierce of Peabody and Brianna Eldridge and her husband Jon of North Conway, N.H. She is also survived by her two granddaughters, Danielle Jacques and Makenna Pierce, her aunts Barbara Gelineau and her husband Frank of Salem, Paula Burnham of Hudson, N.H., Gloria J. Cazzara and Mary M. Cazzara both of Inverness, FL, and many extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Ann M. (Cazzara) and Frank DeCarlo, her aunts Sandra R. Walsh and Dolores E. Parsons.

ARRANGEMENTS: Dianne’s funeral services are private. A mass of intention will be celebrated in her memory at St. James Church, Federal St., Salem at 4 P.M. on Saturday, February 28th , 2015. Assisting the family with the arrangements is the Peterson-O’Donnell Funeral Home 167 Maple St., (rte 62) Danvers. Dianne loved to make sure those close to her were well-fed, especially around the holidays, thus in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Dianne’s memory to the St. John the Baptist Food Pantry, 17 Chestnut St., Peabody, MA 01960 or to your local food pantry.
