Obituary: Dolores N. (Maheras) Kelley, Longtime Peabody Resident
Employed for five years as a secretary at the General Electric Company in Lynn leaving her employment to raise her family.

Dolores N. (Maheras) Kelley, 86, of Peabody, devoted wife of John R. Kelley, died on Thursday, February 12, 2015 with her family by her side at Kindred Hospital in Peabody.
Dolores was born in Lynn, on November 23, 1928, daughter of Anthony and Mary E. (Stiles) Maheras. She was raised in Lynn and graduated from Lynn English High School in 1947 and resided in Lynn before moving to Peabody in 1973.

Dolores was employed for 5 years as a secretary at the General Electric Company in Lynn leaving her employment to raise her family. She was a loving mother who devoted her life to creating a home for her family and assured that her children had many educational and recreational opportunities during their lives. As hobbies, she enjoyed dancing, dining out and reading.
In addition to her husband Jack with whom she shared 64 years of marriage, Dolores is survived by her 2 sons and their spouses, John R. and SueZan Kelley of Murrieta, CA, and David R. and Christine Kelley of Amesbury; 3 grandchildren, Kerri Beth Tremblay and her husband David, Kimi Lee Kelley, Jake Kelley; a great grandson, Michael Tremblay; a brother and his wife, William and Carole Maheras of North Easton; many nieces, nephews and close friends. Dolores was also pre deceased by her son William H. Kelley III and her siblings Charles Maheras and Helen J. Clarke.

Her family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, February 16, 2015 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at 9 a.m. from the funeral home followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Adelaide Church, 708 Lowell St., Peabody. Memorial contributions may be made in Dolores’ name to the American Lung Association, www.lung.org/lung-disease/copd . Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
