Obituary: Donald K. Voyce, Machine Design Supervisor for GTE
Enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served for four years during WWII

Donald K. Voyce, 92, of Peabody, died Saturday afternoon at Sunrise at Gardner Park assisted living home in Peabody following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of the late Concetta (Mazzola) Voyce.
Born in Rathbun, Iowa, he was the son of the late Sydney and Grace (Thomas) Voyce. He was raised and educated in Seymour Iowa and was a graduate of Seymour High School, class of 1939.

After high school, Donald enlisted with the United States Navy and served for four years during WWII before being honorably discharged in January of 1946.
Following the war, he enrolled at Northeastern University and received his Associates Degree in Engineering and Management in 1954. He was employed for over 32 years as a machine design supervisor for GTE in Salem and Ipswich before finally retiring.

He enjoyed playing sports, especially golf.
He is survived by his son Donald C Voyce and his wife Nancie of Honolulu, HI, his sister Inez Voyce of Santa Monica, CA, and by several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, he was predeceased by his siblings, Marjorie Lindbeck, Myrna Lazenby, Vivian Rissler, and Richard, George, Dorothy, and Russell Voyce.
Visiting hours for Donald will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Burial services will following immediately at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.
