Obituary: Eva DiFilippo, Elementary Teacher for Many Years in the Danvers Schools

Teacher, spending many years at the Great Oak School in Danvers.

Eva DiFilippo, an elementary teacher for many years in the Danvers school system passed away on January 30 at the Brentwood Nursing Center in Danvers.

Eva was born in Lynn on June 12, 1932, the daughter of the late Alfredo and Esther DiFilippo. She was raised in Swampscott and graduated from Sainte-Chrétienne Academy in Salem. Eva went on to Salem State University, known as State Teachers College at the time. Upon graduation she began a life-long career as a teacher in Danvers, spending many years at the Great Oak School.

Eva lived in her family home in Swampscott for most of her life, before coming to Danvers to live closer to family. Eva is survived by her loving brother Renato (Ron) and his wife Josephine; two nephews and their families, Michael and Mary Beth DiFilippo and their children Michael, Matthew and Mary; and Ron and Lori DiFilippo and their children Alexi and AJ, all of Danvers. Eva also leaves behind cousins, and a group of dedicated friends and fellow teachers.
