Obituary: Grace M. (Linehan) Jameson, Worked in Operations For Warren Five Cents Savings Bank in Peabody For Years

Grace M. (Linehan) Jameson, 85, beloved wife of the late Charles F. “Bud” Jameson, died peacefully on Monday afternoon at Beverly Hospital.
Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary Ellen (McCarthy) Linehan. She graduated from Peabody High School, Class of 1946, and was a lifelong Peabody resident.

Mrs. Jameson worked in Operations for the Warren Five Cents Savings Bank in Peabody for many years.
Grace participated in many community service activities, was a volunteer at the Torigian Life Center in Peabody, a faithful communicant at St. Ann’s Church in Peabody, and helped make teddy bears for ill children with the Hug-A-Bear Program. In her youth Grace was a gifted tap dancer. She enjoyed the summers with her family at Mousam Lake in Acton, ME, and traveled with her husband to Hawaii, Greece, and Ireland. She was proud of her Irish heritage, and was an avid reader of non-fiction and history. She will be remembered for her engaging personality, intelligence, quick wit and a great sense of humor. She was devoted to her family and many friends, and was looking forward to being a great-grandmother in May.

She is survived by two sons and their wives, Charles “Brendan” & Ann (Michaud) Jameson of Gloucester and Robert & Laurie (Cruickshank) Jameson of Lynnfield; a daughter and son-in-law Linda & Christopher Currier of Danvers; seven grandchildren, Erin Jameson & her partner James Wall of Gloucester, Christopher Jameson & his fiancée Emily Bryant of Quincy, Karalynne Jameson of Gloucester, Brian Corcoran of Lynnfield, Daniel Jameson of Lynnfield, Emily & Olivia Currier of Danvers; a sister Barbara Denis of Peabody, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death, besides her husband and parents, by her siblings William Linehan of Peabody and Anna May Mullane of Peabody and later McLean, VA.
A visitation will be on Friday February 20, 2015 from 4 – 8 P.M. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Saturday February 21, 2015 at 10 AM from the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 AM in St. Ann’s Church, Peabody. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem. Memorial donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), 26 Broadway, 14th Floor, New York, NY 10004.
