Obituary: Joanne Frances (Nangle) Bradley, Substitute Teacher in Peabody

She and her husband resided in Peabody for many years before retiring to Lake Winnipesaukee.

Joanne Frances (Nangle) Bradley, 85, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at the Holy Family Hospital following a brief illness. She was the loving wife of Robert H. Bradley, with whom she shared more than sixty-three years of marriage.

Born in Topsfield on May 21, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Nellie (King) Nangle. She was raised in Topsfield and Danvers and was a graduate of Emmanuel College. She and her husband resided in Peabody for many years before retiring to Lake Winnipesaukee. They had made their home in Methuen for the last several years.

Mrs. Bradley had been employed in the Peabody and Lynn public schools as a substitute teacher.

A Lady of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem, she had served as a Eucharistic Minister at Our Lady of the Lakes Church in Gilford, NH and at Saint Francis Church in Dracut. She was a loving and caring woman who was dedicated to her family.

In addition to her husband, she leaves her children, John Bradley and his wife Shirley-Ann of Andover, Christine Wilson and her husband Richard of Tampa, FL, and Susan Bove and her husband Michael of Reading, her grandchildren, Robert and James Bradley, Peter Wilson, Kelley Roland, and Nikki and Celina Bove, two great-grandchildren, Vida Marie Wilson and Damien Wilson, and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Robert, Leonard, Philip, and Harry Nangle.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 30, 2015 at 11:30AM in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Sunday from 3-6PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Merrimack Valley Hospice, 360 Merrimack Street, Bldg. 9, Lawrence, MA 01843.
