Lucy A (Negri) Kanarellis, 73, of Peabody, died Tuesday morning at Salem Hospital following a prolonged illness. She was the devoted wife of Emmanuel “Mano” Kanarellis.
Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Anna (Gillis) Negri. She was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School, class of 1959.

She has lived in Peabody for the past 45 years.
Lucy was employed as a waitress at the former Romie’s Oyster House and Quarter Deck restaurant in Danvers and later she worked as a hairdresser for various shops on the North Shore.

Family was everything to Lucy and she shared in all of her family’s endeavors. She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends.
She is survived by her two sons, Michael Kanarellis and his companion Natasha of Salem, Jon and his wife Mary Anne Bianchi of NH, her sister, Tina Negri of Maine, and by her grandson, Anthony Bianchi and his fiancé Stephanie.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody and her Funeral Service will be on Saturday at 10:30 AM at the funeral home to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
