Obituary: Mary F. (Zielinski) Rowen, Lifelong Resident of Peabody
Was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Peabody before it closed, and the Holy Rosary Society there.

Mary F. (Zielinski) Rowen, 92, beloved wife of the late Robert Rowen, died unexpectedly and peacefully on Friday morning January 16, 2015 at the Beverly Hospital while in the comforting presence of her family.
Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Gladys (Wronkowski) Zielinski. She was a lifelong resident of the city, and graduated from Peabody High School, Class of 1940.

Mary was an active member of the parish of St. Joseph’s Church in Peabody before it closed, and was a member of the Holy Rosary Society there. She was also a member of the P.L.A.V. Ladies Auxiliary Post 63, the Golden Agers of Peabody, the Peabody Council on Aging, and she enjoyed traveling with her husband. She was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan, and kept her mind active doing word search puzzles and games. Her favorite passion was her family and those who knew her will miss her warmth deeply.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Kathleen Rowen of Peabody; 6 grandchildren, Alix Rowen of Beverly, Heather Fejes of Georgetown, Jennifer D’Orazio of Byfield, Christine Lichfield of Virginia, Joshua and Cecile Rowen of Salem and James Mahalares of Douglas, MA; 7 great grandchildren, Tyler, Ryan and Meagan Lichfield of VA, Jaysen & Shayna Rowen of Salem, Andrew D’Orazio of Byfield, Abby Fejes of Georgetown, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death, besides her husband and parents, by a son David Rowen and sister Anastasia Yelinski.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for her Funeral Service on Tuesday January 20, 2015 at 10 AM in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. A visitation will be held on Monday from 4 – 8 P.M. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
