Obituary: Patricia Ann "Patty" McQueeney, 65, Lifelong Resident of Peabody

Patricia Ann “Patty” McQueeney, 65, of Peabody, died on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at the NSMC – Salem Hospital with her family at her side.

Patty was born in Peabody, on November 7, 1949 daughter of the late Norman and Veronica (Cevanovich) McQueeney. She was raised, educated and graduated from Peabody High School in 1968 and was a lifelong resident of the city.

Patty was employed for 15 years at New England Motor Freight in North Reading. Patty struggled with health issues throughout her life and due to these conditions she was forced to retire on an early disability.

Patty is survived by her brother and his wife, James “Jim” and Jo-Ann McQueeney of Peabody; a nephew, Shawn McQueeney of Manchester-by-the-Sea; a niece, Holly McQueeney of Peabody and her fiancée Dan Fletcher; a grand nephew, Gabriel McQueeney of Manchester-by-the-Sea; her loyal cat Max, and friends.

As per Patty’s request, a private family service will be held. Memorial contributions mat be made in Patty’s name to the Joslin Diabetes Center, www.joslin.org , One Joslin Place, Boston, MA 02215.
