Ronald E. Cusato, 75, of Peabody, passed peacefully on Monday surrounded by his loving family after a courageous three-year battle against cancer. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen (Murphy) Cusato with whom he shared 52 years of marriage.
Born in Melrose, he was the son of the late Ralph and Annie (Storti) Cusato. He was raised and educated in Wakefield and upon marrying his wife he moved to Peabody where he has lived for the past 48 years.

Ron was employed for 17 years as a supervisor for the Polaroid Corporation before he became an entrepreneur. Later in his career he was a courier for UniGraphic, Inc. in Woburn.
Ron enjoyed bowling and coaching little league baseball in his earlier years. He was a parishioner of St. Ann’s Parish and a council member there for two years. Ron enjoyed traveling throughout the country, taking cruises, and weekend excursions. He was an avid sports fan, especially of the Patriots, but most importantly, Ron loved spending time with his family at cookouts, celebrations, going out to eat, vacations and more.

Besides his loving wife, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Beverly Cusato of Merrimack, NH, his daughter and son-in-law, Joanne Cusato-May and Douglas May of North Andover, his siblings, Edward Cusato of NY and Elizabeth Hawkins of OH, his grandchildren and extended family, Annie, Melissa, Gabriel, Erica, Sarah, Carter, Mark, Kendra, Railyn, and Gabriel and is also survived by his brother-in-laws and sisters-in-law, Nancy Cusato, David Murphy, Elaine Plackis, Judy and Peter Giamberardino, Ruth and William Aliferis and by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings Gloria, John, Joseph, Ralph, Arthur, Geraldine, Donald, Robert, Richard, David, and Sandra.
His funeral will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at St. Ann’s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM and burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in memory of Ron Cusato to either the Lung Cancer Research Fund.
