Obituary: Sheri A. Mentus-Guzofski, 48, of Peabody

Sheri A. Mentus-Guzofski, 48, of Peabody, died unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2014.

Born in Beverly on December 15, 1965, she was the daughter of Claire (Mello) Mentus of Peabody and the late Robert Mentus. She was raised and educated in Danvers and was a graduate of Danvers High School, Class of 1983.

Sheri was a dedicated and loving mother and a devoted grandmother. She loved reading and horses and was a published poet.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Richard Ringer of Danvers, her children, Dennis Guzofski Jr. of Haverhill and Chelsi Ringer of Beverly, her grandson, Brayden L’Italien, her siblings, June Blair of Florida, Robert Mentus of Danville, NH, Dennis Mentus of Peabody, and Jeffrey Mentus of Colorado, and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves her dedicated home health aide, Carole.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Monday, Aug. 25, 2014 at 11 a.m. in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Sunday from 3-7 p.m. in the funeral home.
