Obituary: Steven A. Ronan, 30, of Peabody

Steven was independently employed as a contractor in construction, specializing in carpentry, plumbing and electrical work.

Steven A. Ronan, 30, of Peabody and formerly of North Reading, died Tuesday evening at the Mass General Hospital in Boston following a brief illness.

Born in Haverhill, he was the son of Susan (Sivilou) Eldred Peabody and Paul Ronan of Derry, NH. He was raised and educated in North Reading and has lived in Peabody for the past 10 years.

Steven was independently employed as a contractor in construction, specializing in carpentry, plumbing and electrical work. He enjoyed being on the water and his favorite activity was kayaking on the Ipswich River.

Besides his mother and father, he is survived by his brother Daniel Ronan of Nashua, NH, his maternal grandparents, David and Jean Sivilou of Manchester, NH and was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Richard and Cathleen Ronan. He is also survived by his longtime companion, Chavon Provancher and by his many aunts, uncles, and cousins and by his dog Zoey and his cat George.

Following cremation, a Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday from noon until 2 p.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 20 Church St., Peabody location with a funeral service held at 1:30 p.m. to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
