Obituary: Vasiliy S. Drobov, 55, Member of the Slavic Russian Baptist Church

Vasiliy S. Drobov, 55, of Danvers, formerly of Belarus, beloved husband of Nadia (Onokhina) Drobov, died Friday, January 2, 2015 in the Kaplan Family Hospice House surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Gomel,Belarus he was the son of Semon and Maria (Megun) Drobov. He was raised and educated in Belarus and worked for several years as a large crane operator in the construction industry.

Mr. Vasiliy immigrated to the United States in 1996 settling in Danvers with his wife and children. He began working as a machinist at Somerset Industries in Billerica where he remained until his illness no longer allowed him to work.
He was a member of the Slavic Russian Baptist Church in Peabody, where he served the church as a volunteer driver for the elderly.

A devoted family man he was always willing to help and was well known for his talents of building and fixing things around his home. Vasiliy had a strong affection for animals, especially horses.
In addition to his wife, Nadia, of 30 years he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Sergey and Tatyana Drobov of Salem, MA and his daughter and son-in-law Snezhana and Bryan Gray of Colorado Springs, Co. His brother Vladimir Drobov and his sister, Katia Papkova both of Belarus. Vasiliy was anxiously awaiting the birth of his first grandchild in June.
Arrangements: His Funeral Service will be held in the Peterson-O’Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St., (Rte 62), Danvers, Tuesday at 1pm. Relatives and friends invited.
