Oliveira’s Given OK to Serve Alcohol Until 1 A.M.
The Licensing Board and Oliveira's Steak House had previously agreed to limit alcohol until 11 p.m. for at least 90 days.
Pleased with improvements made at Oliveira’s Steak House, the Peabody Licensing Board agreed to allow the restaurant to serve alcohol to 1 a.m. again.
The Salem News reported that Attorney Jack Keilty, who represented the restaurant’s owners, said the owners have increased security and eliminated a Latino Night, which brought large crowds of people from outside the North Shore. There were brawls outside the restaurant during Latino Night, which resulted in arrests. The lawyer said there have not been any issues since the event was stopped in November, reported the News.
The Licensing Board had previously attempted to require Oliveira’s to stop serving alcohol at 10 p.m. for six months. The board and owners ultimately agreed that alcohol service would need to end at 11 p.m. for at least 90 days.
