One Dead Following Early Morning Crash In Peabody

Both drivers were taken to the hospital, while a 51-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene early Saturday monring.

PEABODY, MA -- A 51-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene of a two-car crash on Lynnfield Street in Peabody early Saturday morning. The 43-year-old woman driving the car the man was riding in, as well as the 22-year-old man driving the other car, were taken to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston after being extricated from the vehicles. Both drivers were from Peabody, police said.

Police responded to the call near 285 Lynnfield Street at 1:04 am Saturday. The road was closed for about three hours. No charges have been filed and the accident remains under investigation by Peabody and Massachusetts State Police.
