Principal: Heat Is Back To Normal At Peabody High School
"Everything is fine today and it really wasn't a major issue," Principal Eric Buckley said Tuesday.

PEABODY, MA -- Three parents of Peabody Veterans Memorial High School sent messages to Patch Tuesday morning saying heat is out at Peabody High School. All three parents said their children had been told the heat could be out for the remainder of the week, but that they had not been notified by the school department.
Principal Eric Buckley said officials discovered the problem on Monday morning. A transformer had blown over the weekend and tripped the furnace. Buckley said that the boiler was reset and needed time to catch up to heat the building, but that "everything was fine" by the start of school on Tuesday.
"It didn't help that it (Monday) just happened to be the coldest day of the year," Buckley said. "But everything is fine today and it really wasn't a major issue."
