Peabody Among 30 Best Cities in the Country to be a Bartender

Peabody ranked 26 out of 381 U.S. cities in ValuePenguin’s nationwide careers study of the best places to work as a bartender. As part of their analysis, they studied data across three important metrics -- median salary, cost of living and location quotient.

The average salary for a bartender in Peabody is $23,740, and there are approximately 700 bartender jobs in the city, according to the study.

The best city for bartenders is Las Vegas, Nev.

Brockton came in fourth in the survey whose data is combined with nearby cities Bridgewater and Easton, comes in at fourth on our list despite having the highest cost of living among the top five. This is, in part, because the approximate 740 barkeepers here earn $26,530, or 24 percent more than the country’s average. Many locals prefer the likes of Tommy Doyle’s Pub & Grill and Dylan’s Bar & Grill.
