Peabody Artist Featured at South Branch Library

The South Branch of the Peabody Institute Library is continuing its support of local artists with a new showing of paintings by Frank Tomasello. Eleven examples of his art are now on display in the library, located at 78 Lynn St. These paintings are available for purchase, but will only be on display for a limited time through the end of spring.

The South Branch is thrilled to feature another Peabody artist. This collection includes oil canvases depicting New England scenes and portraits. This show is an example of the Library’s commitment to supporting and partnering with the community.

Frank Tomasello is an award-winning Peabody artist and member of the Peabody Art Association. He has been commissioned to paint many portraits in addition to his scenery work. As well as painting on canvas, he is also known for painting scenes and pets on slate. In this medium he is represented throughout the New England area and beyond in gift shops, museums and the nationally distributed catalog, Potpourri. Frank is also the author of a book about his brother, a fallen soldier in WWII, entitled Searching for Andy.

The public is invited to view Mr. Tomasello’s paintings anytime the South Branch is open.
