Peabody Bowling League Creates Connections Across North Shore
The league includes students from across the North Shore and graduates in Peabody's Post High School Program.
PEABODY, MA — High school students from across the North Shore and those in Peabody's Post High School special education program formed a connection at the lanes this past winter and spring during the first-ever Friday Bowling League.
The North Shore Transition Education Network established the league that included 77 students from 13 cities and towns. Leo's Metro Bowl hosted the league one Friday per month where students from each program were arbitrarily assigned teams, allowing them to make new friends from other schools.
"Not only does it allow students to have fun, but also to build relationships with other students they would not usually interact with," Peabody Superintendent Josh Vadala said.
