Peabody Centennial Parade: After Party Details

With the celebration expected to draw record crowds to downtown Peabody, the fun will continue after the parade ends.

PEABODY, MA – The Peabody Centennial Parade is fast approaching, and the city plans to keep the party going for the record crowds expected to attend.

The Parade After Party will take place from 12 to 4 p.m. on Oct. 2. Following the parade, head over to Emerson Park on Perkins Street for fun, food and entertainment.

"When we first started planning the Centennial events there was a consensus that a post-parade
event was needed to avoid major traffic problems caused by people leaving the parade," said Peabody Centennial Committee member Julie Daigle. "Emerson Park is in walking-distance to the parade route. It’s an ideal location."

"We designed the After Party to be a relaxing and laid-back event that follows the parade. People can enjoy food options ranging from seafood to fried dough, popular craft brews, lawn games, and good music. It just wouldn’t feel right going home after pulling off the largest parade in city history."
