Peabody Designates 4 Weeks For Yard Waste Pickup

Leaves and other yard waste will be collected for two weeks in October and two weeks in November.

PEABODY, MA — A sure sign that summer is coming to an end is the first leaves turning colors before they fall to the ground.

What that happens, Peabody residents need a way to get rid of them.

After the raking and collecting is done the city will pick up leaves and other yard waste for four weeks beginning Oct. 12. The weeks of pickup will be Oct. 12, Oct. 26, Nov. 9 and Nov. 23.

Leaves can be left in barrels or paper bags. Yard waste left in plastic bags will not be picked up.

Yard waste may not be picked up at the time of regular trash removal. There is not charge for curbside collection in Peabody.

Yard waste may also be hauled to the Department of Public Services on Farm Avenue weekdays from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
