Peabody Educator is Excellence Award Finalist
Seith Bedard, director of Peabody Learning Academy was chosen as a finalist for the 2016 Online Learning Excellence Award.

Seith Bedard, director of the Peabody Learning Academy has been selected as one of the 20 finalists for the 2016 Online Learning Excellence Awards for outstanding K-20 leaders working in online or blended learning environments.
The awards honor educators and administrators who have demonstrated measurable best practices and innovation in online education. Two award winners in each category will be announced on February 10 at Pearson’s online learning conference, Cite 2016, in Amelia Island, Florida.
Bedard is a finalist in the K-12 Excellence in Online Administration category.

Pearson will donate $1,500 to the scholarship fund of each winner’s choice.
The Peabody Learning Academy serves the at-risk student population of Peabody Veterans Memorial High School (PVMHS). In partnership with the Simon Youth Foundation, it is part of the Peabody Public School District and is located at the Northshore Mall.

Recognized nationally as one of the most successful, non-traditional high school programs in the United States, this program allows students to learn in an alternative setting with the use of the Gradpoint digital learning platform and for many, to participate in PVMHS after school and club activities.
