Peabody Emergency Response 'Mock Car Crash' Planned For Thursday

Police are advising residents and those in the area of Bishop Fenwick to expect emergency vehicles and loud noises during the exercise.

PEABODY, MA — Peabody residents and drivers in the area of Bishop Fenwick High School should not be alarmed if they see and hear a burst of emergency responder vehicles Thursday at about 1 p.m. that is part of a mock car crash exercise planned for the school campus.

Peabody police said the educational exercise planned to show high school juniors and seniors the potential dangers of driving will include a response from police cruises, fire apparatus, Atlantic Ambulance, Todisco Towing and Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home.

"Please be advised that this is only an educational exercise and there is no danger to students, staff or abutters," police said. "We would like to thank Bishop Fenwick for the opportunity to present this valuable lesson to the students as they head into their season of celebrations.
