PHOTOS: Peabody Girls' Lax Pounds Fenwick, Qualifies for State Tourney
The Tanners qualified for the state tournament with this win. A stifling defense held Bishop Fenwick to only three goals while Nicole Napolitano scored six times and Megan Poverman scored four.
Both Peabody girls' teams are making good prowess this season, but the play was all in the Tanners' favor on Friday, as they pounded away at and qualified for the state tournament with the win, 14-3.
girls' lacrosse is at 8-2 after similarly dispatching Dracut on Monday and now hosts Beverly Wednesday (4 p.m.). The Lady Crusaders, meanwhile, are at 9-4 and travel to Lowell Catholic Wednesday (4 p.m.).
