Peabody Girls' Lax Advances to Quarterfinals in State Tourney
Both the Peabody High and Bishop Fenwick girls' squads have advanced to the next round in the playoffs, while both boys' teams were defeated.

Peabody High girls' lacrosse advanced to the quarterfinals of the Division I North tournament after delivering a 10-9 victory in double overtime against Central Catholic Wednesday night.
The Tanners now face North Andover Saturday on the Scarlet Nights home turf. The game time has yet to be announced.
The boy's lacrosse squad, however, is out of the playoffs after an 11-6 loss to Boston College High School in a preliminary round game on Wednesday.

The Bishop Fenwick girls' lacrosse team has also advanced, defeating Weston on Tuesday, 14-13. The Lady Crusaders now play Marblehead in the quarterfinals of Division II North at Marblehead High School on Friday at a time to be announced.
And in like pattern, the boys' team at Fenwick lost handily to Hanover in the first round on Tuesday, 18-1, to be knocked from the tournament.
