Peabody High Baseball Falls to St. John's Prep, 6-2
Boys varsity baseball team drops season opener on a cold, windy day on the road.
The Peabody Tanners hoped to start their 2011 baseball season off on the right foot with a win a day after the scheduled game was postponed and relocated from to St. John's Prep.
But on what was a cold, windy day in Danvers, St. John's Prep topped the Peabody Tanners, 6-2, behind some strong pitching from St. John's Prep starter Pat Connaughton and some key hits down the stretch.
Photographer Bob Roche was there to capture a lot of the action from the Peabody Tanners season opener in this image gallery.
