PEABODY, MA — Peabody students accepted early to Salem State University gathered for a ceremony at the high school auditorium this month for a special ceremony celebrating their admission to the university.

The students were among those who have proven themselves over the past three years by achieving excellent academic performance at Peabody Veterans Memorial High School and committed early to SSU — thus sidestepping the pressure that seniors often face awaiting acceptance letters from colleges and universities.

This is part of a new early college acceptance initiative at SSU.
