Peabody To Host Patriots Day Morning Of Tributes

PEABODY, MA —Peabody will honor North Shore fallen soldiers at the Battle of Lexington in a ceremony at the Lexington Monument on Washington Street on Patriots Day.

the public is invited to this year's events.

The Peabody Historical Society & Museum, the city of Peabody and the Peabody Veterans Council are sponsoring the ceremonies that will begin at 8:40 a.m. with a Danvers Alarm List at Jacobs Lot, with access via Lowell Street opposite Edgehill adjacent to the Independence Bike path.

At 9:20 a.m, the Danvers Alarm List will be at the South Burying Ground on Main Street at the Salem line.

That will be followed by a 10 a.m. ceremony at the Lexington Monument on Washington Street with a reception following the ceremony at the Gideon Foster House at 35 Washington Street.

There will be road closures Monday morning to accommodate the events. Sewall Street will be closed to traffic from Holten to Washington Street from 9:45 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
