Peabody Lady Tanners Shutout by Salem Witches, 11-0

The Peabody Lady Tanners softball team must have had a sinking feeling even before the first pitch of Wednesday afternoon's game against the Salem High Witches.

That's because they knew they would be going up against Salem Witches starting pitcher Sarah Chasse, one of the best softball pitchers in the Northeastern Conference. Their fears were well-founded.

Chasse and the Salem High Witches went on to shutout the Lady Tanners at Peabody High School, 11-0, in a dominating performance highlighted by Chasse's 11 strikeouts of Lady Tanner batters.
