Peabody Legacy Award To Honor Educator Who Makes A Profound Impact

Nominations are being sought for educators "who have gone above and beyond to make a lasting difference in the lives of their students."

PEABODY, MA — The Peabody Education Foundation is looking for nominees for this year's George Peabody Legacy Award.

The Foundation seeks to recognize and honor educators and philanthropists from the city who work to provide a lifetime of contributions to the Peabody school system. The Legacy Award celebrates the educator each year "who has gone above and beyond to make a lasting difference in the lives of their students."

Applications can be found on the Peabody Education Foundation website. Nominators may fill out the online form, email us, or can print the application and mail it.

"In these days of a global pandemic, the traditional ways of educating students have been severely disrupted," the Peabody Educational Foundation said in a release. "Teachers and community members are rising to the challenge by providing an education that goes beyond just academics. Teachers are always seeking to effortlessly challenge students to be the best they can and encourage them to act upon their dreams and goals because they align with their deepest values.

All nominations must be received on or before Aug. 1. Include your name, address, and telephone number on all nominations in order that the Foundation may verify information or request a testimonial and/or pictures.
