Peabody Lions Club Helps Local Resident

The Peabody Lions Club continues to help visually impaired Peabody residents.

The Peabody Lions Club continues to help visually impaired Peabody residents. At their December 8 meeting, they presented Joe Freitas with a Clear View Reader+ machine. The machine will assist Joe by scanning text and will then read the text back to him. Joe was stung by a swarm of bees that caused a severe reaction that impaired his sight.

In the attached picture, Joe is presented with the equipment by Joe Gentleman, President of the Visual Aides Foundation and Steve Calhoun, President of the Peabody Lions Club.
